I’m a sucker for people with clothes that match in unusual ways. This is an example of how one’s clothes reflect one’s personality. What is imparted when someone takes care to match his socks to the feather in his hat or when one holds a pearl-esque bag and while wearing a pearl-esque hat and a pearl necklace? They seem obtuse, unpredictable. They don’t have the same priorities as others. They appear to have personal aesthetics, ideas, obsessions. There are many elegant and wonderful ways to express these things about yourself (and if you possess these qualities, please don’t hide them), but the way you dress is the quickest way to do it because I’ll see it from across a room and I will want to meet you.
